Nature Photography?

I guess the thing about nature photography that I appreciate the most is that it's relaxing to me. When I'm working with a model there is more pressure to be creative and there's the added complications of interacting with another human being and trying to get them to act and pose in a way that benefits the camera. I guess you could say it's a much more active form of photography. While it's certainly enjoyable and rewarding, nature photography is the opposite in the sense that it's entirely passive. Much like fishing it requires patience and is most often a solitary thing. I've always enjoyed hiking and getting away from everything, I've just added a camera to my backpack these days. I'd love to be able to afford the longer lenses that some people have access to for this sort of work but I seem to be able to get some decent stuff by being sneaky and cropping when I need to.
