Macro Photography

While the majority of the work in this section tends to overlap into my nature photos I feel like it's a unique enough field and I enjoy it enough to warrant giving my macro photos their own set of galleries. Much like nature photography macro work can be very relaxing and I'll find myself in the garden or on a walk hanging out on my knees for hours staring at the tiniest things most people would either step on or just walk past never thinking about what's under their feet. It amazes me sometimes just how differently insects have evolved in comparison to mammals. It really is a very different world in which they live and they've adapted to survive in all sorts of environments and conditions. Chances are when the next global catastophe wipes out all the larger life forms (us included) then insects will inherit the earth.
